Dr. Rafat is an experienced corporate officer and a board member with over 27 years of experience, he worked internationally in government, military, and high-technology commercial environments. Dr. Rafat spent several years in the academic sector leading renewable energy institutions.
More latterly Dr. Rafat has served as a Vice President of Saudi Telecom Company and was appointed to several boards and committees where his role was to build and lead a Digital Academy for STC and the broader Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Governance. He was previously the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at the Financial Times | IE Business School Corporate Learning Alliance in London, UK, a world-leading custom executive education provider.
Dr. Rafat is a Member of the Board of Governors at University of Brighton (UK) and the Global CCU Advisory Board (France). He was employed at Duke Corporate Education as a Vice-President Director, Business Development EMEA, and spent five years at Imperial College London in three senior roles.
Dr. Rafat has been internationally recognized and awarded as a corporate leader focusing on international trade, particularly in the tech sector. Dr. Rafat has had the privilege of being nominated as one of the top 100 most influential British Muslims in the UK Parliamentary Power 100 Rankings. Currently, Dr. Rafat holds several international board positions and is the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors for M&R Partners GmbH, a global cross-border pension fund regulated in Luxembourg.
