
Mr. Alwaleed Alsenani

Alwaleed is the Executive Director of Corporate Governance at SABIC – and has an extensive experience in board and enterprise governance, corporate regulations, compliance, and risk management. Alwaleed is a Board Member, Audit and Risk Committee Member, and Nomination and Governance Committee Member at several companies and organizations in Saudi (which include listed, non–listed, and non-profit).
Before joining SABIC in 2015, Alwaleed had a long career in the Capital Market Authority (CMA) where he served in different leading governance positions, including Head of the Corporate Governance Department, and Head of the Risk Management Department. He represented the CMA in the Corporate Governance Committee at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in France and participated in updating the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance (adopted by the G-20). Before joining the CMA in 2009, Alwaleed was a Faculty Member (School of Business) at Prince Sultan University for several years.
He holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Melbourne (2006) and Master of Commerce from the University of Western Australia (2005), and a Bachelor of Administrative Science (Accounting) from King Saud University (2002).
In addition, he completed several executive education programs at Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, Wharton Business School, INSEAD, and IMD.
